************************************

My clients are encouraged to collaborate with me at
key phases of a commissioned painting:
* The image or images my client would like,
be it a mere idea, to an actual original photo owned by myself or the
client.
* The size of the canvas (the price of a
canvas is based not only on size, but quality);
* I expect an initial payment (covering the
cost of the canvas and any special oil colors needed) before the
charcoal drawing;
* The initial drawing on the canvas (in
charcoal); and
* At the last brushstroke, I require my
client's sign off before the actual sale is completed. At that
point I expect payment for the painting along with payment for packing
and shipping, if my client does not live within a ten mile radius from
my loft.

I
I want to make my client ecstatic with his or her
new artwork. That is my goal. If, for any reason, my client
is not satisfied, only the cost of the canvas and/or specially purchased
oil paint is forfeit.
At that point, depending on whether the painting is
based on my idea or original photo, and if I actually sell the painting
to someone else, I will refund the client's initial payment.
Of course, if the painting is based upon the
client's original photo, I will destroy the painting if it is not wanted
and return the photo.

I retain all rights to my original
artwork, no matter if it is my original photo or my client's original
photo. I may display this work on my website, unless other
arrangements are described in the initial agreement.
